About Klyssa

A video editor that respects your work and privacy

Klyssa is a private, local-first desktop video editor for short-form creators — with AI you actually control, and none of the cloud lock-in.

Privacy by default

Your footage and projects stay on your machine. No cloud uploads, no data harvesting, no forced account.

AI you control

AI is a tool, not the boss. Run features locally where possible, or choose Klyssa credits or your own key.

Fair, no lock-in

The editor is free. Pay only for the AI you actually use — pay-as-you-go credits, never a subscription.

Our story

Most video tools ask you to trade away your privacy: upload your footage to someone else's servers, accept a monthly subscription, and hope the AI does what you meant. Creators deserve better.

Klyssa was built on a simple idea — your computer is powerful enough to edit locally, and AI should be a tool you direct, not a black box you rent. So we made a full multi-track editor that runs on your machine, keeps your media on your disk, and lets you power AI with pay-as-you-go credits or your own key. No cloud uploads. No data harvesting. No subscription.

We're launching first for macOS, with Linux on the way and Windows to follow. The mission is to give every creator professional, private editing — without the lock-in.
